G-Darius Ver.2 ia a arcade video game developed by Taito in 1997. It's a horizontally scrolling 3D Shoot'Em Up game.
The game is set on the planet Amnelia, which once possessed an energy source known as "Kaju."
When this energy ran out, many of Amnelia's inhabitants relocated to Blazar, one of its satellites. Many years later, a war broke out between the people of Amnelia and those of Blazar.
The latter were annihilated by Amnelia, which subsequently triggered another war—this time between Amnelia and Kazumn, a satellite of the planet Darius.
Pilots Sameluck Raida and Lutia Feen were chosen to fly the "Silver Hawk"—a fighter craft—to combat the invaders.
In terms of gameplay, *G-Darius Ver.2* is a classic scrolling shooter.
The Silver Hawk is equipped with various weapons and shields. A new feature is the "Capture Ball"; these are limited in number and allow the player to capture an enemy and use it as an additional weapon. Other power-ups can be obtained by destroying enemies and bosses.
The game can be emulated via MAME, though the emulation is not 100% accurate.
