B-Wings is a arcade video game developed and published by Data East in 1984. It's a vertically scrolling shoot'em up.
The game consists of 45 levels, each concluding with a boss fight.
The player controls the FX-1 spacecraft, battling enemies to reach Gobnas's fortress and recover the stolen wing.
As the game progresses, the difficulty increases; however, power-ups—such as additional wings—are available to provide greater firepower.
In B-Wings, the spacecraft can move between two different altitude levels.
The game was programmed by Akira Sakuma.
It is perfectly emulated by MAME.
There is also a version for the Nintendo Famicom.
